Electric turbos I stumbled on this info when the new Bugatti “Chiron” review surfaced. It appears this supercar as well as the Audi A8 and the Q7 will be the first manufacturers to implement electric turbos. We all know that the major engineering problem with most turbos is the “lag”. This technology is pointed in this area with the electric motors promising to solve this issue as well as very low speed spool up. The new Bugatti at 288mph and a 312mph speedo promises some big fun!
