Charging woes: first no start, then fixed, after electronics install ABS light & 11V [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

UPDATE: I went and hooked a multimeter up to the battery last night. While the ign was off, it read 12.5V. When I started the car, it read 12.0V while running. I also turned the car off, then turned the IGN on only, and all the gauge lights light up for a second...and there was no battery light?!? This tells me two things: #1, the voltage meter in my car was off, it was reading 11.0V when the multimeter read 12V. #2, my alternator is not working, and I have no battery light in my gauge
