GM ATS knock sensor [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

My mk2 3sgte have the 52 code on system I changed the genuine old knock sensor to the GM knock sensor that ATS sell, my questions is does it take time to the ECM to recognize it? Because it still came the check engine light on every time that I accelerate the engine (at 1,800 ish the light come on)
