A/C idler pulley grinding against gate [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

I just replaced my A/C idler pulley, but the pulley ends up being pressed up against the metal gate hard enough that it will not turn freely when the bolt that secures the pulley from falling off is tightened. Has anyone encountered anything similar to this? I
