Armrest shift cable noise drives me insane! [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

Hey guys i have this constant noise that bugs me whenever i shift, its comijng fromt the forward backward shift cable right about where your elbow would sit, a little farther back, (right where there is a bracket to hold the cable down if you take the center console off). I cant take this noise, its like a clacking noise whenever i shift, if i could picture what it was, i would say the shift cable is snapped, and everytime i move it backwards the two ends hit each other and clack, but obviously
