What's the sound? [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

I recently heard a little ticking sound coming from my engine but everything looked connected and normal. Whenever I accelerate the sound gets louder and the faster I go, the louder the ticking sound gets. Does anybody have an idea on what it is or I need to check? The ticking sound sounds like when you tap on a wooden table and I have no clue on what it is. HELP PLEASE!
