I see this come up from time to time. Somebody totals their Mr2, and the insurance company wants to offer some super low amount for the settlement of the claim. KBB show a private party value of $5000 for a 1995 mr2 turbo in excellent condition and $2000 for a 91 in good condition. These are the values that insurance companies are going to try to follow. Has anybody had an experience where an insurance company tried to total their car ouf for less than $2000? I
