Just did a clutch, now shifting issues [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

I just did a clutch on a 91 NA and I connected the shifter cables correctly (at least I think so), the retaining clips are both on, the cables seem like they are in place properly, however I cant get into first, and 2nd is hit and miss. My third gear is where my first goes (and where third goes... I guess its like right in the middle) and my 2nd sometimes works, sometimes doesnt. Has anyone else had this problem before and if so, how do I fix it? What should I look for? I bled it
