93+ MR2 - Is the Short Shfiter necessary? [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

I have a 93 and read somewhere that they shortened the throw that year. There are lots of short shifter options out there: B&M, TRD, Twos R Us, and all the replicated options on ebay. Am I really gaining anything by getting one?... or should I say LOSING anything. In height, that is? The TRD version looks almost like my stock shifter. And the Twos R Us kit uses my stock shifter. Doesnt make much sense. Can someone clear this up? Thanks
