- Well I just had a catalytic converter put on my 2 the other day. It did not have a cat when I purchased it. Just a straight pipe from the header to the muffler. Now after getting it installed, it seems to idle a little higher than normal. Before (once warmed up) it would idle at about 750 or so and now it idles at about 1k. Anyone know what the deal is?
