4A-GE MK1 Engine, flat, spot, engines, exhaust, slight, stock, leak, muffler, rear, lackluster, octane, thoughts, fuel, flatspot, pretty, performance, long, drive, hours, curve, power/torque, round, trip, kicks, tvis, good, engine, noticed, huge, 3000-4300

took the aw out for my first long drive in it (about 3 hours, 6 round trip) and i noticed a HUGE flat spot between about 3000-4300 (just as TVIS kicks in its all good) Engine is bog stock, slight exhaust leak in the muffler at the rear. I know these engines are a bit lackluster in performance down low but this seems a pretty bad flatspot. I run it on 98 octane fuel. Thoughts?
