OILPAN GUNK? good or bad or just ugly? [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

i just changed the oil in my 1995 NA 5SFE. while i was under the car, i decided to rub my fingers on the sides of the oil pan...when i looked at my finger, i had black chunky stuff on it, sorta felt like it was mostly dry, yet a lil gunky. does that mean i need to replace the oilpan gasket? is it just dirt accumulation? i know the car doesnt leak any fluids, but is that something that can be replaced easily? or does it have to be replaced ASAP?
