Well, after owning numerous MR2s since 1988, I’ve just about had it. I have learned one thing in the last few years, don’t let your friends do engine work on your car, even if they are mechanics. I now have two dead MR2s sitting at home: 1989 SC - two years ago, the head gasket failed. I trusted a friend of mine (that was a Toyota mechanic) to rebuild it.
