newb, question, diff, crank, gasket, turbo, project, time, loved, nissan, rods, stock, rebuild, motor, difference, 3s-gte, block, start, differences, wondering, price, pistons

Between a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen 3s-gte motor I want to do a stock rebuild on a 3rd gen but i can get a 2nd gen block to start for not a bad price i was just wondering what the differences between them or do they have the same pistons and rods and gasket and crank maybe just a diff turbo sorry for the newb question but I dont know much about mr2 im a nissan guy but always loved them and now I have the time to get a project going.
