engine, pull, replace, simple, easy, route, tools, knowledge, housing, woke, morning, seal, main, change, rear, puddle, bell, question, entire, tranny, drippin, raised

ok so i have to change the rear main seal on my engine. woke up this morning, saw a puddle, raised her up and its drippin out from the bell housing so... my question is, do i have to pull the entire engine and tranny out to replace or is there a way to just pull the oil pan off and replace or something simple like that. i have to knowledge and tools to do either but of course, id rather go the easy route (who wouldnt)
