- I have a spare 5sfe short block. I basically built the bottom end according to my factory BGB. I bought a brand new crank and brand new factory connecting rods. I have everything put together and torqued to spec. Once I turn the crank, stop it, and turn it the other direction I can feel slight play and a faint click. I
