Collected my Mk1 on saturday after 4 long weeks in the workshop. Its just had a very expensive and complete engine rebuild and tidy up. The anticipation had been killing me as I hadnt actually driven the car without it breaking down in some way. I picked it up late Sat evening and enjoyed my drive home. On Sunday I drove back down to the workshop to get a guide pulley fitted and the headlights adjusted. During the lengthy process of rewiring the lights the battery died. Here
