I have this problem with 3/4 of the cars I buy due to being the lower end of the market. The disgusting stale smoke smell from a heavy smoker. Any tips on how to remove it? My sc mkI has it and it has been 3 or 4 years and it has faded but not disappeared. I have tried leaving the windows down on hot days and cleaning all materials including carpet but I know it is in the air con system as well. To give you an idea of how bad it was the windows were tinted yellow from the tar and smoke
