bearing going out? [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

bearing, hear, noise, heard, pump, thought, hard, alternator, distributor, coming, motor, whining, idling, anymore, accessories

when my car is idling, i can hear a whining noise. when i rev up the motor i cant hear the noise anymore. does this mean that a bearing is going out on one of my accessories (alternator, oil pump, ect..)? I thought at first i heard it coming from the distributor but its hard to tell.
