5S-FE MK2 Non-Turbo Engine need help! lol driving me crazy` [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

5S-FE MK2 Non-Turbo Engine, timing, dizzy, played, side, passenger, firing, cylinders, order, sounding, drivers, questions, light, give, money, temp, sensor, dunno, broken, filler, neck, wrong, bought, installed, crossed, plugs, wires, hoping, running, idles, sounds, starts, usual, started, replaced, restart, crazy`, driving, months, bout, hesitates, pretty, long, foot, turned, looose, bolt, exhaust, flame, drive

i got the 91 mr2 from old man who let it sit around for bout 8 months without being started i replaced all the usual and now it starts and idles but sounds like on 3 cyl . if i try to restart it it will run on all 4 but hesitates and trys to die as i drive it down the road. it smells extremely rich and misfires and backfire and shoots flame out the exhaust about a foot long. now im pretty sure its out of timing lol. and btw the dizzy bolt was looose and old man had turned it to who knows where
