- i have the factory Toyota alarm if there even was one. sometimes when i open the door with the key it goes off and the only way i can get it to shut up it putting the key in the ignition. how does this alarm work and y does it go when i open the door with the key. if i disconnect the wire to the alarm horn will it run down the battery at all?
