Tips for junk yards? [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

I have never been to a junk yard before, but I have some items that i wanted to find, and didnt really want to pay for a brand new one. Plus itd be fun to just find stuff I didnt know i needed :) Any tips in general on how to approach this? From what I understand, i call ahead to see if they got a car Im lookin for, grab some tools, and take it off myself? Do you negotiate or do they just give me a price and thats it? Any specific places in/around Seattle thats a good place?
