Would get past 4k rpm [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

4rpm, hitting, bounces, 4rpms, time, reads, boost, steady, 8.5psi, appreciated, told, advice, guys, limiterit, bought, mine, past, buddy, 2,3,4,5, gear, hits, feels, tapping, pass

A buddy of mine just bought an 92 mr2 and in 2,3,4,5 gear the car cant go pass 4rpm unless he keeps tapping the gas. When he hits 4rpm it feels like the rev limiter(it just bounces off 4). Boost reads a steady 8.5psi the whole time its hitting 4rpms. What do you guys think is up? Any advice would be appreciated. I was told maybe the AFM?
