- I know what a TPS is, But what is a varable tps? I hear the A/T MR2 has this, and the M/T does not, I have a 91 A/T, my torque kicks in at about 3200RPM and i was wondering if my TPS had something to do with it. If not, what is a varable TPS, and how is it different from the M/T?
