Question about blow-off / bypass valves. [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

I see a lot of aftermarket blowoff valves all far away from the turbo.. Well considering their purpose, (to prevent excess boost pressure from making the turbo spin backwards after the throttle body snaps shut), dont you think the closer to the turbo it is, the more effective it is? I keep seeing people putting their bypass valves on the cold side of their intercooler, etc... Gettin kinda confused :rofl:
