Recently, I set the idle and timing on my 2 (which for the record previously did not exhibit high idle problems) and everything appeared to be in proper working order. I performed the timing and idle adjustments per the BGB method. However, I decided to also reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a couple of mins so that the computer could have a new base from which it could make calculations for advancing/retarding timing. However, after this the car now cold start idles around 1750
