Engine lid prop rod clips [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

I ordered the engine lid prop rod and clips 4 and 5 according to the diagram. I was under the assumption that these clips hold the rod in place when the lid is closed. The clips that I received, i cant figure out how they could possible work, and dont fit where the old clips were. Did i just order the wrong parts?
