5S-FE MK2 Non-Turbo Engine new clutch failed at 5k miles! [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

While rebuilding my engine I bought a new clutch. I was planning on a standard exedy clutch, but I came across a stage 2 clutch for 15 dollars more on ebay (stupid, I know) so I bought it....poor choice. Started squealing at release and eventually started engaging closer and closer to the floor until it was completely gone. Any particular possible reason for this happening or suspicions as to WHY?! For the record, yes i can drive just fine, I didnt punish it at all and was even more gentle
