smoke, alternator, belt, inspection, sounds, ideas, unhappy, ownertear, snap, caused, engine, seizedtear, snapped, white, 1995, bought, problems, 68000mls, start, bellowed, seenbut, year, garaged

just bought a 1995 mr2 in white with only 68000mls. had been garaged for a year. Tried to start and smoke bellowed out of engine bay. Upon further inspection the smoke came from the alternator belt and has now snapped. Sounds as though the alternator has seized:tear: and caused the belt to smoke and snap. Any ideas for one unhappy owner:tear:
