MR2 has been sitting for a year [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

looked, year, fluid, make, belt, brake, timing, color, sitting, wear, typical, replace, items, rotors/pads, leaking, smoke, purred, visible, idle, minutes, wheel, ball, sound, wise, performance, joints, immediately, tires, impact, direction, definately, recommendations, bearng, started, reliable, peak, source, mobil, water, auto, worthy/safe, road, hoses, cracked, stuff, obvious, fluids, good, gallon, quarter

So I got a great deal on a MR2, 1993, NA, Auto, and it has been sitting for a little over a year. Besides the obvious stuff like fluids, battery, timing belt, cracked hoses (if I fid any), what should I do to make sure it is road worthy/safe? I took a peak at the oil, and from a reliable source it is Mobil 1, it looked OK. No water and it still had a good color to it. The owner changed it just before parking it. The brake fluid looked ok, the trans fluid looked the right color still. The
