I am looking for a stronger gearbox for my Lancia Stratos replica.

Varoius people have suggested that I try an MR2 Turbo gearbox, the E153 type as they are supposed to be good for 500+ BHP. My car has 525BHP & around 500lb/ft of torque.
Is the box capable of handling this power?
