New clutch, very sudden movements [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

So I burnt my old clutch out, and I underwent the long process to replace it myself. I was successful, everything runs smoothly, but the new clutch is so sudden and good I guess. I shift and it catches immediately giving me power. However this makes it seem to jolty when doing the off gas, clutch in, shift, clutch out, on gas method. When I do that, it catches as if I am trying to race it. So I started to ease off the clutch to try and match the revs when shifting and it is smoother, but it
