- Hello need help. I want to mod the mr2 and get it a bit more hp maybe around 400+. I do wanna be able to drive it on regular basis tho. My question is anyone in California mod their mr2 and was able to pass smog. If so how high did you go and is it possible to get to 400+ and still pass smog
