- Hello, everyone. I bought my MR2 a little over a month ago and when I first saw it, I thought the clear coat had faded and left behind a really dull, rough surface. Well today, I removed the Toyota lettering on the back and used some goof off to remove the adhesive left behind when I noticed something strange. The paint came off with the adhesive! Underneath this paint was a smooth and brighter white than the paint that was on top. I figured that for some reason, the PO must have spray painted
