I am trying to measure bearing clearances for big end and connecting rods on my 3sgte. I have aftermarket bearings installed. I have measured the crankshaft big end and connecting rod pin journals. I am planning on installing new bearings. To measure the bores would I use my dial bore micrometer to measure the bore with the old bearings installed or with new bearings installed, as I am trying to work out whether I need to machine the bore of either the connecting rods or the big ends to ensure
