bumper light question

i have a 4pc black clear lights for my bumper now and its installed but my question is i have two light bulbs for each side and there is a slot for the big bulb but there slot for the second small bulb is not cut out. Should i just unplug the small bulb cause right now, its in my bumper dangling but you cant see it what should i do? Right now im thinking of just unplugging the small bulb n cover it with electrical tape. Is that a good idea?
