Axle help.....

So by trying to remove my hub, which I did succeed, I managed to pull the axle apart.....doh. Its the passenger side rear axle (just fyi) and is still attached. Anyway, I took the outside seal on the boot off, folded the boot back....still looks good and will probably reuse it. Looks like I pulled the axle hub thing off the main shaft. The pin is still in place so it looks like I got a lucky pull while the pin was closed in and it just came off. Can I just very carefully close the
