5S-FE MK2 Non-Turbo Engine Engine temp gauge

5S-FE MK2 Non-Turbo Engine, engine, cluster, gauge, temp, good, claim, repairing, dash, checking, thermostat, cars, shop, work, replaced, clutch, time, apparently, working, stopped

Cars done at the shop. Had them look at the thermostat while they were doing work on it since the engine temp gauge stopped working after they replaced the clutch last time and apparently everything is good. They claim it is in the cluster. Is there any way to go about checking this and repairing it or should I just buy a new dash cluster?
