Picked up a 1997 celica st last night which has 7AFE was very surpised how nippy the engine was as years ago i had a 90 celica 3sfe and it was abit of a slow revver but ok torque, 7AFE seems to rev nicely and when u hit 5k there is a nice lift like vvti!!
Could be alot to do with the st only weighing 1170kg and the older celica was probably much heavier by anyway anyone no much about the 7afe any tips on what to look for etc should
