- Ok, so I drove my mr2 home just fine, it sat over night and the next day I replaced the front and rear motor mounts. I went to try and start it and while trying to crank the negative battery cable starts to smoke and get really hot. It only does then when trying to crank the engine over. Im not sure what is causing the issue.
