help with timing issues. [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

timing, jumpering, bypass, mode, picture, direction, diagnostics, point, advance, problem, dizzy, advanced, wanted, issues, degrees, turn, pass, reading, advancing, correct, anymore, setting, thing

ok. so timing is set at 6 degrees right now and i wanted to advance it to 10. the problem is that the dizzy is advanced all the way and wont turn anymore to correct it. what can i do? i tried setting to tdc and advancing, still the same. it wont go pass 6. help? ok.. after some reading, there is one thing i didnt do. i did not set the ecu into bypass mode by jumpering TE1 and E1 in the diagnostics box. can anybody point me in the right direction on how i go about doing that. a picture
